Might I add....

I forgot to post this at the same time it was on the LIITD blog.... so I will share it with you all now instead. This is why I bought the Teresa Collins line 'Everday Moments'. The second I saw a sneak peek of it from CHA, I told Lori I wanted it to do a mini album about Braydens surgery.

Some people might question why I needed to do this, why would I want to remind myself? Well, it happened. I can’t pretend it didn’t, nor do I want to. It was quite possibly the biggest event in my life next to the births of my children. I want to be able to pull out this album when Brayden is older and say ‘Look how strong you were, little man… look what you went through and you did it smiling and laughing.’ If he has to have another surgery, he will be better prepared for it through these pictures, and sometimes the reminder of what made us stronger is a good thing.

The day of surgery....
Seeing B in the PICU for the first time, he spent 2 nights in there before being moved.

The nurse had been giving him sucks of water through a sponge, and he darn near ate the sponge off of the stick, so she decided that maybe we could try some juice to quench his thirst. He freaking loved it.
Moved into the 'ICE' step down unit, and then into his own semi-private room, both rooms had a spot where one of us could stay the night, so we took turns.
His recovery was insane, I was just blown away at how quickly they bounce back... the picture on the left is less than a week after his surgery. And the one on the right is just a short while ago.
We just had his 6 month checkup in February, and were given wonderful news that we don't have to take him back for a full year as he is doing so well.... unless something happens before then that concerns us.
Way to go, little monkey... you are a fighter, a spit fire, a holy terror, and an angel all wrapped up in one.
Love you.

Slackerrrrrrr!

I guess that title goes to me! :) I was doing so well at keeping my blog up to date, and then whoosh it all went down the drain. So I'm here to play catch up!!

Hmmm what have I been up to at the scrap table? Well, I have been enjoying some of the new lines that have come out lately! I already posted some of the Teresa Collins Everday Moments, but I also have been in LOVE with MME's Follow Your Heart 'Be Amazing', and October Afternoon's 'Sasparilla'!! Both of them have kinda had me glued to my scrap table churning out some layouts.... Not everything I can show you yet, but I will add on what I can ;)

Also new in the LIITD store, are what seems to be the MOST amazing markers, the Tim Holtz Distress Markers!! I really don't know how many colors there are, but I know there are a lot, and they are in stock, so get yours quickly! They look absolutely awesome....

Go on and check out the LIITD store for all of the newest CHA lines coming out, Lori gets them in as quickly as she possibly can!!!!

October Afternoon 'Sasparilla'

These next layouts were created for our Month of Luck St. Patty's Online Crop, which ends tomorrow night!!

MME Follow Your Heart 'Be Amazing'
Thanks for stopping by!! We are officially on Spring Break, so we'll see if I get any scrapping done this week! LOL!

Some Everyday Moments

When CHA rolls around, there's soooo much that catches my eye. But it never fails, that one or two lines will absolutely call out to me.....

Teresa Collins 'Everday Moments' was one of those lines. The stories it told just by looking at the stickers and other embellishments, I just knew I needed them for some select projects.

Lori let me know as SOON as it was in the LIITD store (found HERE) and she shipped it up to me to work with for the month of March. So far I have 3 layouts and a mini album completed, and I'm sad to say that I am almost out of papers..... LOL!

This line is gorgeous. Not sure what else to call it. The papers are so thick and rich, beautiful texture, amazing colors.... I'm in lovvvvvvvve.

Here are 2 of the layouts that I completed and uploaded... the others I will be able to show you further on in the month. ;) Please, do yourself a favor, and run out and buy this collection. You will be glad that you did.

My sweet Brayden, a few weeks old.... I used a massive ribbon that I found in Tayla's room, it was originally wrapped around a blanket that she got for Christmas. I couldn't help but steal it, and use it on this layout.

Jackson is FINALLY comfortable in front of the camera, so I love sitting and taking pictures of him when he lets me.... I used a ribbon that I got on a RAK recently, another repurposing idea! LOL! The papers are perfect for boy layouts.... and next time I'll show you how they work for girls too ;)

I hope you all have a fantastic week!!

Happy Friday!

I don't make a ton of mini albums, but the ones I do make, I have a blast with. I used Simple Stories 100 Days of Summer for this one, and some old pictures of my kiddos from the beach (pre-Brayden so he's missing LOL)
